Matthew Vaughn Enters A “Golden Age”

Director Matthew Vaughn is looking into helming his third superhero feature in a row with “The Golden Age”, based on the upcoming comic by Jonathan Ross, husband of Vaughn’s frequent co-scribe Jane Goldman reports Deadline.

The story centers on a group of “retired superheroes who help out their grandchildren when their middle-aged parent screw up the world.” Vaughn hopes to get Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, and Warren Beatty for the roles, though Beatty hasn’t acted in a decade while Eastwood retired from acting after “Gran Torino”.

Vaughn helmed last year’s “Kick Ass” and is currently very busy at work on “X-Men: First Class”. Vaughn adds that he wants to get actors signed before doing the script and he may hire other writers.
