Matthau Gets “Freaky” With Elmore Leonard

Charles Matthau, son of the late Walter Matthau, will direct a film adaptation of author Elmore Leonard’s comedy crime thriller “Freaky Deaky” for Myriad Pictures and Matthau Media reports Screen Daily.

The story follows two former lovers and bomb-making anarchists who reunite to steal millions from a now-wealthy accomplice they’re convinced framed them. Unfortunately they draw the attention of police and a bomb squad.

Kirk D’Amico and Tom Ortenberg will serve as executive producer. Filming kicks off early next year.
