Matt Smith (“Doctor Who,” “The Crown”) and Suki Waterhouse (“American Psycho”) have joined the drama “Charlie Says” from “American Psycho” director Mary Harron and her co-writer from that film Guinevere Turner.
Hannah Murray, Odessa Young, Marianne Rendon, Cara Gugino, Kaylie Carter and Merritt Wever co-star in the film which is which is set to shoot in L.A. in the spring,
The story focuses on the three women who were sentenced to death in Charles Manson’s infamous murder case. Murray, Young and Rendon will play the women while Smith is set to play Manson.
Wever plays a grad student who is sent in to teach them and through her the film will follow their transformations as they face the reality of their horrific crimes.
Jeremy M. Rosen, Kevin Shulman, Dana Guerin, Michael Guerin, David Hillary and Ed Sanders serve as executive producers.
