“Friends” and “Episodes” actor Matt LeBlanc has been revealed as one of the new presenters of the eagerly-awaited return of the biggest motoring entertainment show in the world – “Top Gear”.
The hiring marks the first time the show has ever had a non-British host in its 39-year history. The revamped show, co-starring British host Chris Evans, is expected to be relaunched with much fanfare one BBC Two this May.
LeBlanc joins production immediately and additional cast members will be confirmed shortly. The actor holds the record for the fastest ever celebrity lap of the famous Top Gear track, having appeared as a guest in 2012, setting a still unbeaten 1 minute 42.1 second in the Kia C’eed.
