The back-to-back shooting of Marvel’s next two “The Avengers” films will get underway shortly. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo return for the films which Marvel have gone to great pains to say are effectively two separate movies as opposed to a single story in two parts.
Today Marvel’s co-President Louis D’Esposito teased fans with a tweet about what the first of these two films, “Avengers: Infinity War,” will tackle.

The cover is for the ‘Infinity Gauntlet’ series which came before the ‘Infinity War’ series in the comics. It seems to suggest Thanos (Josh Brolin) assembling the stones into the Infinity Gauntlet will happen in the first of the films rather than the second.
Both films will also be shot entirely with IMAX cameras and we’ve yet to know which characters will be the key focus and/or even survive these films which open May 4th 2018 and May 3rd 2019.
