The first look at Square Enix’s “Marvel’s Avengers” game took place at both E3 and Comic-Con where the cinematic trailer clips landed with a thud. The initial reveal, in particular, met a very mixed response with a lot of criticism levelled at the graphics.
Now with GamesCom underway, the company has released video of the 18-minute prologue/tutorial level online with a new coat of paint and a good look at the gameplay.
In an official statement on their website, they say changes have been made “to the visual fidelity, character models, animations, and more” and that “the team has been polishing the prologue to ensure the highest quality possible and will continue to do so with the entire game until it ships on May 15, 2020.”
While the costumes remain the same, the character faces and the look do seem a bit more polished than last time. Expect more looks over the next few months ahead of launch early next summer.
