ABC’s Marvel series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” has been confirmed to be ending with its upcoming seventh season to air next Summer.
In a message posted on the show’s official Twitter account, they say: “Next summer’s Season 7 will be the last for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Thanks to our fans for allowing us to be the longest-running Marvel TV series to-date.”
The series is currently airing its sixth season on ABC and is set to hold a panel at San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H later today. ABC previously aired two other Marvel shows, the critically acclaimed “Agent Carter” and widely derided “Inhumans,” both of which have since been cancelled.
Disney Plus is set to be home to multiple original Marvel series which are now being produced by Marvel Studios rather than Marvel Television who is currently prepping a slate of four new animated series and two live-action series for Hulu to join “Runaways” which they also produce.
