Disney XD’s new cartoon series “Marvel’s Spider-Man” is said to be a back-to-basics approach for the superhero character once “Ultimate Spider-Man” concludes.
We know characters like Miles Morales and Spider-Gwen are set to show up, but Marvel Animation Vice President Steve Wacker has spoken in a new interview with CBR about some of the contemporary storylines they plan to adapt.
One will be “Superior Spider-Man” which Wacker says: “That was the last big story I worked on in the comics side with Dan Slott. I’m not quite sure how we get there, but I’d love to see it. We’ll get to Spider Island at some point. That was a big Spider-Man story in publishing.”
He also says he’d like to see newer stories like “Annihilation,” “Kree-Skrull War” and “Spider Man: No More” get adapted. No specific premiere date for the series has yet been set.
