At least three TV series centered on Marvel Studios film characters are in the works for the Disney+ streaming service, though there’s debate as to which one will arrive first.
One that has a good shot is “Loki,” the series following Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief from the “Thor” movies. Despite his apparent demise in “Avengers: Infinity War,” the subsequent film “Avengers: Endgame” included an ‘out’ allowing Hiddleston’s return to the role.
Now a photo, taken from the Walt Disney Company Investor Day 2019 presentation back in April and only now released to the public, shows off Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige presenting a first look at this new series.
The photo confirms the character ends up on Earth in 1975 in the series, and appears to add credence to reports that he will be visiting key points in history to manipulate events. How it fits into the main MCU timeline though isn’t quite clear.
It’s expected a lot more Marvel Studios project information will hit later this Summer during panels at Comic-Con in July and D23 in August.
