The Marvel Studios Comic Con panel in San Diego this evening didn’t just focus on films, attention turned towards four live-action series which are also on the way for the Disney+ streaming service.
First up, it has been confirmed that all will take place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame” and so we’re dealing with those versions of the characters.
“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” hits Fall 2020 and will see Sebastian Stan & Anthony Mackie reprising their roles. In addition, Daniel Bruhl is confirmed to be returning as Baron Zemo and he’ll get to wear his purple mask this time.
“WandaVision” arrives in Spring 2021 starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda and Paul Bettany as Vision with Olsen saying: “we’ll finally understand Wanda Maximoff as Scarlet Witch.” Bettany however had to stay quiet on how Vision is coming back into play. It was also confirmed that actress Teyonah Parris will play the adult Monica Rambeau, the character played by the young Akira Akbar in “Captain Marvel”.
“Loki” hits Spring 2021 and will follow the version who escaped with the Tesseract in “Avengers: Endgame”. Further specifics are under wraps.
Finally, “Hawkeye” will arrive Fall 2021 and will star Jeremy Renner reprising his role of Clint Barton. The series will also see him passing the mantle to the character Kate Bishop in the event series. That role hasn’t yet been cast.
