Marvel May Revive Its ‘One-Shots’ Short Films?

After producing five of them between 2011 and 2014, Marvel seemingly abandoned its ‘Marvel’s One-Shot’ short films which were included in the Blu-ray releases of some MCU films.

Since then the closes we’ve come to seeing something like “Item 47” or “All Hail the King” has been the two comedic takes on Thor’s downtime that Taika Waititi filmed during breaks on the set of “Thor: Ragnarok” and which have received much acclaim.

If “Spider-Man: Homecoming” star Tom Holland is to be believed, they might. Speaking with Uproxx, the actor said:

“I want to do a short. That’s what I want to do. I want to do a 20-minute short with me and [Ant-Man star] Paul Rudd… I think they are planning on doing [one-shot shorts] again. I probably just spoiled a big spoiler. [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige’s probably going to be furious.”

Holland’s inability to keep secrets is partly why it has been revealed during recent press rounds that he’s not been allowed to read the “Avengers: Infinity War” screenplay beyond the scenes he’s doing.
