Marvel Chief On “Inhumans,” “Fist” Future

Marvel TV’s chief Jeph Loeb recently participated in a Reddit AMA for the premiere of “Cloak and Dagger” on Freeform and he touched upon some other series from Marvel TV in recent years that didn’t receive a good reception.

First up, Loeb was asked if the key characters from the cancelled “Inhumans” could reprise their roles on other Marvel series, Loeb responded: “Hope so. We love these characters and the actors are the best.”

He surprisingly admitted that the second season of “Iron Fist” would be hitting Netflix this year. He revealed the news in response to a fan asking if we’ll see Danny’s iconic green and gold costume to which he says: “You’ll be very happy with Season 2 coming this year.”

It was thought “Iron Fist” would be held back until early 2019 with “Daredevil” S3 set to bow late 2018. One series that likely won’t return is “The Defenders” with Loeb saying: “Not in the plans right now, but you never know… We’ll see about doing it again – as you can guess it messes with the schedules on other shows – so do you want more Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones or another Defenders.”

The next Marvel Netflix series to air is the second season of “Luke Cage” hitting later this month. It’s expected the “Daredevil” S3 air date will be revealed at that time.
