Martin Scorsese To Helm A “Ramones” Movie

Martin Scorsese is reportedly planning to direct a biopic of seminal punk rock band “The Ramones”.

The Ramones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2002 after a legendary career that included songs such as “I Wanna Be Sedated” and “Blitzkrieg Pop”.

It’s not known when Scorsese will begin work on the project. It has been suggested it will come after his next film, “Silence,” but there is no script currently in place and the filmmaker has numerous other projects on his slate that are further along.

Amongst them is the De Niro & Joe Pesci re-teaming “The Irishman,” a Frank Sinatra biopic, and the pilot of the “Shutter Island” TV series prequel “Ashcliffe”.
