Though she’s Australian, Margot Robbie won rave notices for her Brooklyn accent in Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street”.
In a new interview with Collider during the Sundance Film Festival, the actress has revealed that her role as Harley Quinn in David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” may include a less exaggerated version of the same accent:
“None of those things have been set in stone at this point, but according to the comics, she’s from New York and I think Brooklyn, so there may be a slight… I couldn’t imagine it would be as strong as The Wolf of Wall Street accent. The lingo will be the difference between that and the other character I played in Wolf but I don’t know yet. We haven’t spoken about it.”
Robbie is joined by Will Smith, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis in the film which begins shooting in April at Pinewood Studios Toronto.
