Margot Robbie is in early negotiations to co-star with Domhnall Gleeson in Simon Curtis’ “Goodbye Christopher Robin” at Pathe and Fox Searchlight.
The story revolves around “Winnie the Pooh” creator A.A. Milne (Gleeson) and the relationship between him and his son Robin who initially had a difficult relationship with his father and was an inspiration for the character of Christopher Robin.
Pooh was named after Robin’s teddy bear. The real Robin’s toys also lent their names to other Winnie the Pooh characters such as Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet. If she joins, Robbie would play Milne’s wife Dorothy ‘Daphne’ de Selincourt.
