Manhattan Cancelled After Two Seasons

WGN America’s highly acclaimed period drama series “Manhattan” has been canceled after two seasons.

The Skydance Television and Lionsgate Television co-production was created by Sam Shaw (“Masters of Sex”) and followed physicists working on America’s atomic bomb project during World War II.

John Benjamin Hickey, Ashley Zukerman, Olivia Williams, Rachel Brosnahan, Mamie Gummer, William Petersen and Neve Campbell starred in the series which premiered in July 2014 and scored rave reviews, but struggled to find an audience – averaging just 240,000 viewers in Live+Same Day numbers.

WGN America’s original slate continues to expand and includes new series “Outsiders” and “Underground” alongside “Salem” which recently began production of its third season.
