Commercials and music video director Anthony Mandler is in talks to make a feature directing debut on “The Last Days of American Crime” reports Deadline.
Based on Radical Publishing graphic novel, the story is set in a near future where America has responded to a second major terrorism attack by developing technology that eliminates the impulse to commit crimes of any kind.
The main character leads a heist team that plans to pull off a final job five days before the signal rubs out the criminal instinct. Karl Gajdusek penned the script.
Noomi Rapace has previously been attached, no word if that’s still the case. Mandler remains attached to the Charlie Hunnam-penned “Vlad”.
