Mandalay Pictures is set to produce a film based on Cory Miller’s script “City on Fire”.
Set in West Philadelphia in 1985, the story follows the impact of what happened when three city blocks were burned to the ground – escalating the conflict between the City of Philadelphia and the radical group MOVE.
This led to an armed siege in a residential neighborhood and one of the most shocking decisions ever made by a City against its citizens.
Jason Michael Berman and Alex Ott will produce. Miller’s “Line of Duty” script made the Black List in 2013 and his biography indicates he trained with the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau and became a part private investigator and part lawyer investigating complaints against the NYPD for the New York City government.
