Following its first tease the other week, actor Henry Cavill’s management has seemingly confirmed that the direct and mostly standalone sequel to 2013’s “Man of Steel” is in active development.
The actor has decided to take on a much more active role according to Cavill’s manager Dany Garcia who tells Newsweek Cavill will not only star in abut also produce the film:
“Henry has a big appetite. We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property [for his production company Promethean], he’s filming [Justice League] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone… he’s beginning to expand that world. It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”
There is still no release date set for the “Man of Steel” sequel. Cavill will reprise the Superman role next November in “Justice League”.
