If there’s one trouble with making video uploading services so easily accessible it’s that the technology can (and is) used for purposes other than intended.
A PlayStation 4 owner named ‘Darckobra’ used the system’s pre-installed ‘Playroom’ live-streaming app to share video of his drunk, seemingly unconscious wife’s breasts with the online gaming community on the streaming platform Twitch. The session than briefly blacked out before returning with the woman completely naked.
Earlier this week Microsoft banned Xbox One users for uploading profanity-laced gameplay videos, shortly after reminding customers of their terms of service. Twitch has now adopted the same approach, banning Darckobra and several other accounts and threatening to ban or suspend accounts with inappropriate material.
They also tweeted the guideline: “We continue to moderate according to our Terms of Service. Non-gaming content is not allowed. Non-gaming content (c): If using PS4 Playroom, the content must be about games or gaming and within our ToS.”
