“Major Crimes” Sixth Season To Be Its Last

TNT has announced that the upcoming sixth season of “Major Crimes” will be its last.

“The Closer” spin-off will see the beloved squad of detectives tackle their three final cases when show returns for its sixth and final season on Tuesday, October 31st.

This year, the Mary McDonnell-led series takes a serialized turn as the squad struggles to solve mysteries and murders surrounded by complex political conflicts, attempting to sidestep controversial issues as they track down three lethal murderers.

Since its debut in 2012, “Major Crimes” has consistently ranked as one of cable’s most-watched drama series with the most recent run of the series reaching an average 7.7 million viewers per episode across linear, VOD, and digital platforms.

The show will hit its 100th episode on December 19th, with many of the cast from both this and ‘Closer’ celebrating their 200th episode together this season as well.

The double-episode series finale will air Tuesday, January 16th.
