The world of beloved Japanese manga “Fullmetal Alchemist” is finally coming to the big screen with a live-action Japanese feature on the way. Today, Warner Bros. Pictures has released the ‘main trailer’ for the film which comes with English subtitles.
Offering the most complete look at the project yet, the story sees two brothers participate in an alchemical ritual gone wrong. This results in one, Edward Elric, losing his arm and his leg. His brother Alphonse becomes nothing but a soul in a suit of armor.
Edward then goes on to become a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother’s bodies – the Philosopher’s Stone. Plans for a sequel are already in place with this first film having recently premiered at the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival. It will hit Anime NYC on November 19th.
