“Magicians,” “Lore,” “Corporate” Renewed

Syfy has renewed its acclaimed drama series “The Magicians” for a fourth season consisting of thirteen episodes. The series has been Syfy’s top performing scripted original on a Live+3 basis in adults 18-49 for the past three years.

Based on the best-selling novels by Lev Grossman, the series centers on Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and his twentysomething friends as they discover their magical abilities and ward off evil creatures who threaten to destroy the magical world they’ve come to know. Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta and Summer Bishil co-star.

Over on Amazon, they have renewed their horror anthology series “Lore” for a second season. No specifics were provided on a debut or for how many episodes, though the belief is it’ll be a six-episode run later this year.

Finally, Comedy Central has renewed its workplace comedy series “Corporate” for a second season, just a few weeks ahead of the first season finale on March 14th. The series follows two junior executives-in-training at Hampton DeVille, a heartless, corporate hell-hole led by tyrannical CEO Christian DeVille (Lance Reddick).
