Mads Mikkelsen Talks “Rogue One” Role

Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen has become known in many international circles for playing villainous roles such as LeChiffre in “Casino Royale” and Hannibal Lecter in “Hannibal,” but it looks like he’ll be switching sides for the upcoming “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” at Lucasfilm and Disney

Speaking to Danish paper Ekstra Bladet, Mikkelsen couldn’t say much about his role but did offer a brief comment:

“It is very important role, a much I can say. No, my character is actually not a bad guy, and then I can not say more. I can also say that the movie will be shot in Iceland and England. And the filming will last for three months.”

Gareth Edwards directs the highly anticipated spin-off film which is currently in production ahead of a late 2016 release.
