Madeline Carroll Lands Lead In “Flipped”

Madeline Carroll (“Swing Vote,” “The Spy Next Door”) has landed the lead role in Rob Reiner’s coming-of-age comedy “Flipped” for Castle Rock productions reports Variety.

Based on Wendelin Van Draanen’s young-adult novel, the story centers on the confusing romantic developments of antagonistic boy and girl neighbors who eventually share a kiss when they reach their teens in 1963.

Aidan Quinn and Penelope Ann Miller play her parents. Reiner and writer-producer Andy Scheinman (“Bait”) wrote the screenplay.

Reiner, Alan Greisman and Kelly Gonda are producing. Filming begins June 26th in Michigan.
