“Captain America” actor Anthony Mackie turned up at Wizard World in Cleveland this weekend and was asked what other franchise he’d be interested in being a part of. His answer was surprising – “If we can bring back Blade, I’d definitely be Blade in every Blade movie.”
He also offered high praise for his “Avengers: Infinity War” co-star Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man, saying: “I think he’s going to be a kick-ass Spider-Man. I think he’s going to be the best Spider-Man yet.” Finally he made it pretty clear that Marvel’s films won’t crossover at this point with its TV work anymore:
“Different universes, different worlds, different companies, different designs. Kevin Feige is very specific about how he wants the Marvel Universe to be seen in the film world. It wouldn’t work. It wouldn’t work at all.”
Meanwhile, “Get Out” star Daniel Kaluuya has offered some high praise for the newest Marvel Studios film “Black Panther” in which he plays a role. Speaking with GQ, he gushed over the Ryan Coogler-helmed film:
“This is an African blockbuster, bruv. This is like Game of Thrones. This is crazy. And Ryan Coogler is just, man dem. He’s like us! He’s a normal dude, in a Golden State hat and a Tupac T-shirt directing the whole set. It’s the most beautiful thing to see.”
“Black Panther” is set to hit cinemas February 16th 2018.
