MacKenzie Makes A Snow Stain

Red-hot Scottish director David MacKenzie (“Hallam Foe”) will helm the psychological drama “Stain In the Snow” for Studio Hamburg International says The Hollywood Reporter.

An adaptation of the 1948 novel by Georges Simenon, the story is set in an unnamed country obviously based on Nazi-occupied France and follows a naive boy who descends into psychosis and depravity.

Mackenzie will work on the $14 million-budget “Stain” next year after finishing his U.S. feature film debut, the sex comedy “Spread” starring Aston Kutcher and Anne Heche.
