Whilst more than one hundred million people have watched that first trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” one person who hasn’t seen the 88-second trailer is the creator of the franchise himself George Lucas.
Speaking with Page Six, he was asked if he had seen the trailer yet to which he said “I don’t know anything about it. I haven’t seen it yet.”. Asked why? He says “Because it’s not in the movie theater. I like going to the movies and watching the whole thing there. I plan to see it [the full movie] when it’s released.”
Lucas was rumored to have consulted on the film, but from the sounds of it his input may be less than we’ve been led to believe. Whether he’ll avoid the next trailers for the film – one likely in May with “Avengers”, and another next Fall (best guess would be Disney’s “The Jungle Book” in October) – we’ll see.
