George Lopez is in talks to co-write, produce and star in one of three Salma Hayek-produced projects in the works reports Variety.
Comedic fantasy “Bones Family” will be co-written and directed by Gabriel and Rodolfo Rivapalacio. The story centers on a father who tries to unite his dysfunctional family by taking them on a trip to Las Vegas.
Rodrigo Garcia (“Nine Lives”) is attached to helm the coming-of-age project “Diego Ascending,” a remake of Israeli feature “Bonjour Monsieur Shlomi.” Ligiah Villalobos will write the script about a teen torn between developing his potential in math or taking care of a Latino family.
Finally, shooting begins early next year on Chilean Nicolas Lopez’s untitled project. Lopez will write and direct the sci-fi comedy thriller, which focuses on a young woman who is sent to the past to prevent WWIII. Problems arise when she falls in love and puts the mission at risk.
