Arguably Lindsay Lohan reached her screen career peak with 2004’s comedy “Mean Girls” and this week revealed to CNN (via Vulture) that she’s penned a script treatment for a sequel.
The actress, who a few years ago a potential storyline would be “like an older version where they’re all housewives and they’re all cheating,” tells the news outlet she just needs to convince everyone else to get on board:
“I have been trying so hard to do a ‘Mean Girls 2.’ It is not in my hands. I know that [‘Mean Girls’ writer] Tina Fey and [producer] Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy…I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it.”
