It was no surprise when the reinvigorated “90210” brought back its most famous bitchy vamp Shannen Doherty, now the new “Melrose Place” is doing the same.
According to a press release from the network, Heather Locklear will reprise her role as scheming vixen Amanda Woodward on the CW’s new “Melrose Place”. Locklear will make her debut appearance starting Tuesday, November 17th.
Locklear joined the popular 1990s series of “Melrose Place” at the end of season one and stayed on throughout the series’ successful seven-year run.
The hope is she’ll have a better fate than returning cast member Laura Leighton who’s famed Sydney Andrews character died several minutes into the pilot (though has appeared in flashback in subsequent episodes).
Original series stars Thomas Calabro, Josie Bisset and Daphne Zuniga have returned to the CW’s updated version, but don’t expect the same to happen with other memorable characters like Kimberly (Marcia Cross).
The show itself is not performing well, debuting to just 2.1 million viewers and dropping to 1.8 million viewers for its second episode.
