Live-Action “Cowboy Bebop” Begins Filming

Netflix Sets Live Action Cowboy Bebop Series

Netflix has unveiled a short behind-the-scene clip promoting the start of production on the upcoming live-action adaptation of the celebrated anime series “Cowboy Bebop”.

In the clip, Ein the dog takes fans into the offices of the production where actors John Cho, Danielle Pineda, Mustafa Shakir and Alex Hassell are on hand to express their fondness for the pooch.

Elena Satine also stars in the jazz-inspired, genre-bending sci-fi series which follows a ragtag crew of bounty hunters on the run from their pasts, as they hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals. They’ll even save the world … for the right price.

“Thor: Ragnarok” scribe Chris Yost will write the first episode and executive produce. Shinichiro Watanabe, director of the original anime, will serve as consultant. Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner & Scott Rosenberg serve as showrunners and executive produce with Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Yasuo Miyakawa, Masayuki Ozaki, Shin Sasak, Tetsu Fujimura and Matthew Weinberg.
