Little Shop of Horrors Gets Remade

Declan O’Brien (“Wrong Turn 3”) has optioned the rights for a new version of “The Little Shop of Horrors” says Shock Til You Drop.

Roger Corman produced the original film in 1960 about a mild-mannered young man who discovers a carnivorous plant.

Most however will be familiar with the Frank Oz-directed 1986 remake which based itself on the Ashman/Menken off-Broadway musical version.

O’Brien’s take will be different again – “I have a take on it you’re not going to expect. I’m taking it in a different direction, let’s put it that way.”

The director plans to setup the film as a studio feature.
