Lithgow, Bridges Team For FX’s “Old Man”

Lithgow Bridges Team For Fxs Old Man

John Lithgow has joined the cast of the FX drama pilot “Old Man” alongside the previously announced Jeff Bridges, while “Spider-Man: Far from Home” director Jon Watts has been set to helm the pilot and executive produce.

Based on Thomas Perry’s bestselling novel, Bridges plays former CIA operative Dan Chase who went rogue decades ago and has been living off the grid ever since. When an assassin arrives and tries to take Chase out, the old spy learns that to ensure his future he now must reconcile his past.

Lithgow will play Harold Harper, intelligent and tough with deep reservoirs of both compassion and ruthlessness. Called back to service by the FBI after suffering a terrible personal loss, he’s hired to hunt down Chase with whom he has a complicated past.

Jon Steinberg and Robert Levine will pen the series adaptation in addition to serving as executive producers on the series. Warren Littlefield will also executive produce along with Watts, Bridges, Dan Shotz, and David Schiff. Filming begins in the Fall.
