Lionsgate has acquired North American and UK distribution rights to an upcoming film adaptation of the 2007 Nicholas Sparks novel “The Choice”.
The book follows young lovers who fall for each other after she moves in next door to him. As per usual with a Sparks work, obstacles get in the way – namely one of them falling into a coma.
Bryan Sipe adapted the script with Sparks, Theresa Park and Peter Safran producing. The project marks the first time Sparks will take part as an investor in the film.
