Levinson Sr. Does “Bay”, Jr. Does “Bunch”

Thomas Haden Church, Martin Landau and Ezra Miller have joined the cast of Sam Levinson’s directing debut “The Reasonable Bunch” reports Variety.

Previously titled “Devil in My Shoes”, the story centers on two reckless siblings (Miller, Kate Bosworth) who are dragged to a disastrous family wedding by their mother (Ellen Barkin). Landau and Ellen Burstyn play grandparents. Demi Moore also stars.

Sam, the 25-year-old son of filmmaking veteran Barry Levinson, begins shooting the film next week in Michigan.

Meanwhile Shock Til You Drop has come upon story details of his father Barry’s upcoming pandemic thriller “The Bay” (formerly known as “Isopod”).

The plot involves a viral outbreak on the U.S. east coast and mostly focuses on a small town in Maryland. Shooting will be done “Cloverfield” style with a pseudo-documentary, portable camera feel.

Filming is already underway in Georgetown, South Carolina. Oren Peli, Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Brian Kavanagh Jones will produce.
