Levine, Dante Set For Schumer, “Labirintus”

Confirming rumors from a few weeks back, Deadline reports that Amy Schumer and director Jonathan Levine now are set to work together on an untitled mother-daughter comedy at 20th Century Fox.

An actress is now being sought to play Schumer’s mother in the film. Katie Dippold penned the script which was inspired by her own life. Peter Chernin, Paul Feig, Jessie Henderson and Jenno Topping are producing.

Levine isn’t the only director to have locked down a project today as Variety reports that Joe Dante is set to direct supernatural thriller “Labirintus” for Goldcrest. Production is expected to begin next spring.

The story follows a paranormal investigator and psychiatric researcher who join forces to explore an abandoned subterranean Soviet research facility. Said facility is hidden within Hungary’s Budapest Labyrinth, the dark twisting catacombs beneath Buda Castle. As supernatural forces torment them, they must reach the heart of the maze to save themselves.
