Leterrier Drops Out Of “In The Deep”

“Now You See Me” and “The Incredible Hulk” director Louis Leterrier has dropped out of the shark thriller “In the Deep” at Sony Pictures due to scheduling conflicts.

Anthony Jaswinski penned the Black List script which follows a female surfer who is attacked by a shark and ends up stranded on a buoy twenty yards offshore.

As the shark continues to circle her, she attempts to find a way back before dying from her injuries.

Leterrier’s exit is said to be related to a budget reduction on the film along with “other key creative elements” that were changed during development.

There’s no hard feelings on Leterrier’s part it seems as Sony will release his Sacha Baron Cohen spy comedy “Grimsby” later this year.
