The Adam Driver-led romantic musical “Annette,” the long-gestating first English-language film from celebrated “Holy Motors” helmer Leos Carax, has been revived after seemingly failing to launch back in 2016.
CG Cinema (“Personal Shopper”) has hopped on board the project to help revive it and filming begins mid-August. Amazon has already been set to release the film in the United States.
Tracing the rise and fall of two star-crossed Hollywood lovers and the exceptional destiny of their daughter, the film will see the rock band Sparks and celebrated music producer Marius de Vries coming together to create original songs for it.
Paul-Dominique Vacharasinthu will also produce the film.
