While those involved in FX’s “Legion” have made it clear that the series does NOT take place in the same universe as the “X-Men” films, that’s not to say we won’t be seeing more nods to the franchise in future episodes.
A quote from an interview conducted by ComicBook.com the other week with the show’s star Dan Stevens has emerged and teases what we can expect in the second season that will tie back to the “X-Men” comics and franchise:
“There’s some cool outfits that we haven’t seen; there’s some hair that we’ve got to work up to; there’s also some locations… there’s some stuff in Tibet in the comics, I wouldn’t be adverse to it.”
Co-star Aubrey Plaza chimed in, saying the background of series big bad The Shadow King could be explored: “There’s Farouk’s family – let’s bring the family in. See where this b–ch comes from.”
Saïd Taghmaoui has already been cast as The Shadow King in the second season. “Legion” season 2 airs on FX in 2018.
