Legendary Pictures is reportedly developing a live-action feature based on the manga series “My Hero Academia”.
The story is set in a world where 80% of people have developed powers, known as quirks. One boy who has no quirks obsessively follows the heroes who have emerged and learns not everyone uses their powers for good.
In the process he risks his life to save his friend, earning him attention from the world’s greatest hero. The property has sold 17 million copies and spawned both an animated series and animated feature. Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter will oversee the adaptation for Legendary.
