Le Guin’s “Darkness” Becomes A Mini-Series

Critical Content is developing “The Lathe of Heaven” and “Earthsea” author Ursula K. Le Guin’s renowned 1969 science fiction novel “The Left Hand of Darkness” into a limited event series.

The Hugo and Nebula winning tale revolves around a human male’s mission to an alien planet known as Winter where the inhabitants have become androgynous with unusual mating rituals and gender characteristics that are fluid.

Tom Forman, Andrew Marcus and Ray Ricord will executive produce the series and a writer will be sought soon. Le Guin will serve as a consulting producer on the project.
