Laurent In, Gyllenhaal Out Of “See”

Melanie Laurent (“Inglourious Basterds”) is in talks to play the female lead opposite Jesse Eisenberg in Louis Leterrier’s magician-heist film “Now You See Me” at Summit Entertainment reports Variety.

The story revolves around FBI agents tracking a group of illusionists and magicians who pull off bank heists during their performances and shower money on the audience.

Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt penned the script. Jake Gyllenhaal was at one time attached but has now definitely left the project. Philip Seymour Hoffman and Olivia Wilde have also been linked, no word if that’s still the case.
