Latest “The Avengers” Shooting Details

Marvel Studio’s “The Avengers” is still in full production and The Sandusky Register reports that filming began on Monday at NASA’s Plum Brook Space Power Facility in Ohio.

A giant vacuum chamber at the facility is being employed and is expected to last the rest of the week according to a NASA spokeswoman. Samuel L. Jackson is said to be the only big star from the film at the facility.

Meanwhile shooting on the project is about to overtake much of Cleveland the way “The Dark Knight Rises” is currently occupying Pittsburgh. Various parts of the city are being converted to resemble New York City for a major battle scene with shooting to take place across the entire second half of this month.

Executive producer Patty Whitcher told the press “There will be explosions. But [fans] will be able to see the actors and their favourite Avengers on the street during the filming… There will be six days of mayhem on this street with lots of explosions and car flipping.”

A presentation for the film is set to take place at Disney’s D23 convention in Anaheim from August 19th to 21st with key cast members expected to attend.
