With just over three weeks before the release of Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” some new details have emerged regarding one of the most secretive characters in the film – Laura Dern’s lavendar-haired Vice Admiral Holdo.
EW has run a new profile piece on the character, a Resistance leader who will be working closely with Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron which apparently leads to some friction between the characters as Poe’s loyalty still lies with Carrie Fisher’s General Leia Organa and he is gung-ho about heading into battle.
Holdo on the other hand is more of a wait and see strategist whose allegiances are reportedly going to be deliberately mysterious. We’re not supposed to know if we should trust her and Dern says: “You have to sort of figure out who’s side you’re on or what your feelings are about her.”
Additionally, check out two new TV spots below which include footage of Benicio del Toro’s character and some more Luke Skywalker. “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opens December 15th.
