The Imperial walkers of the classic “Star Wars” trilogy and the recent “Rogue One,” are apparently making a come back in Rian Johnson’s upcoming “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”.
Making Star Wars reports that the new film will contain First Order ‘super walkers’ which will be used during a large set piece in the film. The site says in production they were lovingly referred to as ‘gorilla walkers’ since physically they resemble giant apes and are much larger and quicker than the old AT-ATs we’re used to.
The first footage from “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is expected to premiere at Star Wars Celebration in a few weeks. The film itself opens in December.
