Lars Director Does “Fright Night” Remake

Craig Gillespie (“Lars and the Real Girl,” “Mr. Woodcock”) is in talks to direct the remake of 1985 vampire cult horror/comedy classic “Fright Night” says The Los Angeles Times.

Gillespie apparently beat out at least three directors to helm the story which will follow the previous film’s main plot of a young man discovering his neighbors are vampires.

Veteran “Buffy” writer Marti Noxon has penned the script while Mike De Luca and Alison Rosenzweig will produce.
