The sixth and final season of Netflix’s “House of Cards” has resumed production after being shut down in October following allegations of sexual assault and harassment made against series star Kevin Spacey.
Shortly after production was suspended, Netflix and studio Media Rights Capital announced they were immediately severing ties with Spacey. There was some back and forth discussion and ultimately the streaming service has decided to proceed with the sixth and final season – which will consist of a shorter than usual eight episodes.
Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver will all return and now its been revealed Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear have joined the final season playing siblings. Further details of their roles are under wraps.
No word as yet on a potential air date for the final season.
