Lana Condor Is Jubilee In “X-Men: Apocalypse”

Actress Lana Condor has scored the role of Jubilation Lee a.k.a. Jubilee in Bryan Singer’s upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse”. She joins a quickly growing cast of fresh faced younger mutants in the new film including Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler. Singer used his Instagram account to make the announcement.

In the comics, the character has the mutant ability to project “energy plasmoids” from her fingertips. She became a popular character due to her having a key role in the 1990s “X-Men” animated series. Katrina Florece and Kea Wong played the role in the first three “X-Men” movies, though it was a very minimized role with no dialogue. Condor will be making her screen debut with ‘Apocalypse’.
