LaBute Helms A “Burnt Orange Heresy”

Neil LaBute (“In the Company of Men,” “Your Friends and Neigbors”) will write and direct an adaptation of Charles Willeford’s modern art-themed crime novel “The Burnt Orange Heresy” reports Variety.

Set in Palm Beach, the story centers on a corrupt art critic’s attempts to finagle an interview with a legendary but reclusive French painter.

William Horberg (“The Kite Runner”) is set to produce the project, the pair having teamed on the upcoming “Death at a Funeral” remake.
